Deputies Arrest Two After Vehicle Break-Ins in Leadwood

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two suspects are in custody following a string of vehicle break-ins reported early Friday morning in Leadwood.

According to the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to Mill Street around 12:15 a.m. on September 26 after receiving reports of two individuals breaking into vehicles and fleeing on foot. Upon arrival, deputies were assisted by several residents who pointed them toward the suspects’ escape route.

Another resident reported his vehicle had been broken into and gave deputies detailed descriptions of the suspects’ clothing and facial features. Deputies recognized the pair from prior encounters. While searching the area, authorities received another report of a vehicle break-in on 8th Street. D

eputies then went to the last known address of one of the suspects, where they found a vehicle with a broken rear window. After a tip from a resident, deputies returned to the residence and discovered both suspects hiding inside the parked vehicle. Stolen property from the reported incidents was recovered at the scene. Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to the St. Francois County Detention Center.

Prosecutors have charged 21-year-old Ethan Arthur Fuller with felony burglary, stealing, and property damage. Charges against the second suspect are pending.
