Driver Injured After Jeep Overturns on Buck Mountain Road in St. Francois County

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Doe Run man was injured Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in St. Francois County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on March 11 on Buck Mountain Road near Missouri Route 221.

Authorities report a 47-year-old man from Doe Run was driving a 2008 Jeep Compass eastbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then overturned and struck a metal drain culvert and a mailbox. The Jeep sustained total damage and was towed from the scene.

The driver, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash, suffered moderate injuries. He was transported by St. Francois County Ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington for treatment.
