Entrance Ramp from Route A to Northbound I-55 to Temporarily Close for Construction

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Drivers who use Route A in Festus to access northbound Interstate 55 will need to plan for a detour this weekend.

MoDOT officials say the entrance ramp from Route A to northbound I-55 will close beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, November 7, and remain closed until 6 a.m. on Sunday, November 9. Crews will be installing a drainage pipe beneath the ramp as part of ongoing roadway improvements.

During the closure, a signed detour will guide motorists on Route A to travel via U.S. Highways 61/67 to reach northbound I-55. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and use caution in the work zone.

MoDOT reminds the public that all work is weather permitting.
