Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The Missouri Department of Corrections reports that resident Joe Bostic, who was confined at Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre, died of apparent natural causes.
Bostic was pronounced dead at 4:28 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus.
According to the department, Bostic was 81 years old and had been serving a life sentence for capital murder from New Madrid County.
State corrections records show Bostic was received into the Missouri Department of Corrections on January 14, 1981.
No additional information was immediately released.
