Farmington Announces Citywide Tree Limb Pickup Following Winter Storm

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Farmington has announced a citywide tree limb pickup scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. This effort aims to assist residents in clearing fallen trees and limbs caused by the severe winter storm earlier this month.

To participate, residents must place tree limbs at the curb or alley no later than 7:30 a.m. on January 21. Public Works crews will not enter private property, so all items must be accessible from the curb. Tree limbs should be cut into pieces no longer than ten feet to facilitate loading.

The pickup is strictly for tree limbs. Items such as lumber, shingles, siding, construction waste, trash bags, cardboard boxes, and garbage are not included.

Farmington residents can also use the yard waste site at 3875 Pimville Road for disposal. The site is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is for city residents only. Security cameras monitor the area, and commercial disposal is prohibited. All collected debris will be mulched and made available to residents free of charge.

For those unable to utilize the city services, the St. Francois County Environmental Corporation at 200 Landfill Drive in Park Hills accepts storm debris for a fee.
