Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Farmington is asking residents to assist in identifying potential damage to electric meters following Monday morning’s hailstorm.
Officials say once it is safe to do so, residents should visually inspect their electric meters for any signs of damage, including cracks or broken components. If any damage is found, residents are strongly urged not to touch the meter or attempt any repairs.
Instead, all suspected damage should be reported directly to the City of Farmington Development Services Department.
Residents can call 573-756-0608 for assistance. The department is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
City officials say this effort will help ensure damaged equipment is identified quickly and addressed safely following the severe weather event.
