Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Farmington has scheduled a public hearing for Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 6 p.m. at Long Memorial Hall to consider multiple development and property-related applications.
According to city officials, five separate cases will be reviewed during the meeting.
One request involves an application for an amendment to the Second Amended Plat of a Planned Unit Development Phase 1 Jones Subdivision Plat 2 at 604 Walmart Drive. The property is currently zoned “C-2” General Commercial District. The application was submitted by Laura Jones of RL Jones Properties.
City officials will also consider two applications to vacate portions of right-of-way. One request involves property at 614 Willow Tree Lane, which is currently zoned “R-2” Single Family Residential. That application was submitted by Robert Devine.
The second right-of-way vacation request involves property at 200 Maple Valley Drive. The property is currently zoned “OA-1” Office and Apartment District. The application was submitted by Chad Carron of Taylor Engineering on behalf of Cedarhurst of Farmington Real Estate, LLC.
Another item on the agenda is a rezoning request for property located at 305 West Columbia Street. The property is currently zoned “R-4” General Residential District, with a proposed change to “C-1” Central Business District zoning. The application was submitted by Leah Kernan on behalf of First Freewill Baptist Church Farmington.
The final case involves an application for a Final Record Plat near Woodlawn Drive and Maple Street. The property is currently zoned “C-2” General Commercial District. The application was submitted by Chad Carron of Taylor Engineering on behalf of Justin Gorse.
The public hearing will be open to residents wishing to attend or provide input. Written comments may also be submitted to Tim Porter, Director of Development Services, at 101 South Jefferson Street in Farmington.
