Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Farmington R-7 School District has named Greg Tadych as its next Director of Communications. He will begin his new role on May 18, 2026.
Tadych brings more than two decades of experience in broadcasting and communications. He currently serves as Assistant Sports Information Director at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis and also works as a broadcaster for the Missouri State High School Activities Association and the American Midwest Conference.
Before moving into collegiate communications, Tadych spent more than 20 years as Sports Director at KFMO and B104 Radio in Park Hills. His career has also included work with the Lynchburg HillCats, a Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, as well as KUTT Radio in Nebraska.
Tadych has received numerous professional honors, including being named the 2025 American Midwest Conference Sports Information Director of the Year. He is also an eight-time Missouri Broadcasters Association award winner for play-by-play broadcasting, along with additional awards for sports and feature reporting.
Tadych said he is excited to reconnect with the Farmington community.
“Farmington became a place that truly felt like home,” Tadych said. “I have always viewed Farmington R-7 as a leader in the region. I am excited to reconnect with a community and district I care deeply about.”
In his new role, Tadych said he hopes to expand communication efforts beyond athletics and help highlight the stories of students and staff throughout the district.
“I hope to be a trusted voice and continue delivering clear, timely communication,” he said.
During his first 90 days, Tadych plans to focus on building relationships across the district, learning internal systems, developing a communications content calendar, and ensuring information remains accessible and transparent. He also said he plans to build on the foundation already established within the district’s Communications Department while keeping student success at the center of its messaging.
Originally from the Cleveland area, Tadych moved to Missouri to pursue a career in broadcasting. He and his wife, Laci, previously lived in Farmington for seven years. Laci currently works as a second-grade teacher in the Dunklin School District.
The couple enjoys traveling, working on home renovation projects, and visiting sports venues across the country.
