Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Farmington School District has announced the selection of two new School Resource Officers, returning the district to its former staffing level of three full-time SROs and reinforcing its commitment to school safety.
The newly selected officers are completing required hiring steps and specialized training and are expected to begin full-time duties at the start of the 2026–2027 school year. In the meantime, the district says safety remains its top priority. Farmington city administrators and the Farmington Police Department have implemented a temporary plan that includes regular, visible patrols by road officers inside school buildings.
District officials thanked the Farmington City Administration and the Farmington Police Department for their cooperation and continued support during the transition.
