Fatal Crashes Down Slightly in Missouri, National Numbers Also Decline

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Fatal crashes in Missouri have dropped by 2% so far in 2025 compared to this time last year, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Nationwide, deadly crashes are down 8%, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reporting more than 17,000 fatalities between January and June. That’s a decrease from more than 18,500 during the same period in 2024.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C has reported 97 roadway deaths so far this year, compared to 166 fatal crashes during 2024.
