Fire Damages Cabins at Twin Eagle Lake Estates and Hideout in Washington County

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A weekend fire at Twin Eagle Lake Estates and Hideout in Washington County destroyed four of the resort’s six A-frame cabins.

The fire occurred Saturday, though no injuries were reported and everyone on the property was confirmed safe. Resort representatives say they are grateful for the quick response of local fire departments and first responders, whose efforts kept the fire from spreading and causing additional damage.

In a statement, the resort said, “Their swift action made all the difference.” Twin Eagle Lake Estates and Hideout noted that while the loss is significant, they intend to rebuild and continue hosting guests. The resort also expressed appreciation for the support shown by the community in the aftermath of the fire.
