Fish Kill On River Discussed

(Farmington, MO.) Farmington officials are reporting a fish kill on the St. Francois River next to Engler Park. Councilmen were alerted to the incident at Thursday night's Farmington City Council meeting. City Administrator, Greg Beavers, indicates they received word of the problem through a phone call to the Parks and Recreation Department.

According to Beavers the area was investigated.

Beavers indicates they're waiting on results from the Department of Natural Resources before taking any further action. In other business at the meeting drainage at 217 Hillsboro Road, a property that's partially being acquired by the city, was talked about and Mayor Larry Forsythe presented a proclamation to Nancy Cozean of the Sarah Barton Murphy Chapter of the D.A.R. acknowledging Constitution Week.
