St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Park Hills woman was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a head-on collision on Missouri K, just east of Lambeth Road in St. Francois County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 12:30 p.m. when a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva driven by a 35-year-old woman from Park Hills crossed the center line and struck a 2013 Ford F-350 traveling eastbound. The Captiva driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries. She was airlifted by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
The driver of the Ford, a 39-year-old Bonne Terre man, received moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.
Both vehicles were totaled and removed from the scene.
