Helicopter Accident Under Investigation at Meramec State Park

Sullivan, Mo. (KFMO) - Emergency crews are on the scene investigating a helicopter accident at Meramec State Park. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. Thursday. 

According to the Sullivan Fire Protection District, the crash happened in the Meramec River. Four people were confirmed out of the water. At this point, the extent of any injuries has not been released, and authorities have not provided details on what may have led to the accident.

The area remains active as first responders and investigators work to secure the scene and gather information.
