Iron County Man Arrested in St. Francois County on DWI Charge

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 42-year-old Ironton man was arrested Saturday evening in St. Francois County on a charge of driving while intoxicated involving physical injury.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Justin W. Blankenship was arrested at approximately 7:03 p.m. August 8 in St. Francois County.

Blankenship faces two charges:

  • Driving while intoxicated resulting in physical injury
  • Permitting another person to operate a motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility

The DWI charge was filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, while the financial responsibility charge is listed as a St. Francois County charge.

Blankenship was held at the Iron County Jail and is listed as bondable.

An arrest is an accusation, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
