St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 37-year-old Ironton woman suffered minor injuries Monday afternoon after her vehicle left the roadway and overturned in St. Francois County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at approximately 1:35 p.m. Monday, August 10, at Missouri Route 221 and Route B.
According to the patrol's crash report, the woman was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt northbound when the vehicle traveled off the right edge of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash. She was transported by the St. Francois County Ambulance District to Parkland Health Center in Farmington for treatment.
The Cobalt was totaled and was towed from the scene.
The patrol's report indicates the driver was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
