Leadwood Officials Provide Update on Wastewater System Issues

Leadwood, Mo. (KFMO) - The City of Leadwood says it is actively working to resolve ongoing issues affecting the city's wastewater system.

In a statement released Tuesday, Mayor Chuck White said city officials are working closely with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the city's engineering team to address the problems as quickly and safely as possible.

According to the city, efforts are focused on both immediate solutions and long-term improvements to the wastewater system. Officials say protecting public health and the environment remains their highest priority throughout the process.

The city also thanked residents for their patience and understanding while repairs and corrective actions continue.

Mayor White said additional updates will be shared as more information becomes available and progress is made toward resolving the issues.
