Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Two local food pantries received a major boost Tuesday, with a combined donation of $105,000 from the Help the Hungry Bake Sale to support their missions throughout 2026.
The funding comes from money raised through the generosity of the community during events like the annual Help the Hungry Bake Sale, which was held in November. Organizers say the donation will help the St. Vincent de Paul and Farmington Ministerial Alliance food pantries meet growing needs as families continue to face food insecurity.
The Help the Hungry Bake Sale has been taking place for 20 years, relying on volunteers, local bakers, and community support to raise money for hunger relief efforts. Organizers credit the continued success of the fundraiser to strong community involvement and long-standing support for local food pantries.
The donation will help ensure food pantries can continue providing meals and assistance to those in need across the area throughout the coming year.
