MAC Leaders, Supporters Recognized at Missouri Community College Association Convention

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Several Mineral Area College leaders and partners were honored during the Missouri Community College Association’s annual convention, held recently in St. Charles.

MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour says the gathering was a valuable opportunity for collaboration and professional development.

Among those recognized was longtime community supporter Bob Monks, who received the Community College Partner Award for his continued commitment to MAC.

State Senator Mike Henderson was honored with the Distinguished Legislator Award, acknowledging his advocacy for community college funding, workforce training, and higher education access.

Additionally, Dan Jaycox of Mineral Area College received the Administrative Professional Leadership Award, highlighting his leadership and contributions to the institution.

Dr. Gilgour says all three honorees were “extremely deserving” and reflect the dedication that strengthens both MAC and the statewide community college system.
