Marble Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Marble Hill Police Officer, 41-year-old Jason K. Holt, of Jackson, was arrested on May 14, 2025, following an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC).
Holt faces charges of Burglary and Stealing related to incidents on the Southeast Missouri State University campus. The investigation began after Richard Flotron, Director of the Southeast Missouri Department of Public Safety, requested a probe into two separate burglaries that took place on April 10 and May 8, 2025. The total value of the stolen equipment is estimated at approximately $18,500. DDCC criminal investigators gathered evidence and conducted interviews that led to Holt’s arrest. Holt, who previously worked for the Southeast Missouri Department of Public Safety, was taken into custody and transported to the Cape Girardeau County Jail.
On May 15, 2025, the Cape Girardeau Prosecuting Attorney charged Holt with two counts of second-degree burglary and one count of stealing property valued at $750 or more. Holt’s bond is set at $10,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
