St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) - Do you feel nervous or anxious when hazardous weather is in the forecast or occurring in your area?
The National Weather Service (NWS) is offering a free public webinar designed to help people better understand and cope with storm-related anxiety. Local NWS offices will host a Storm Anxiety Webinar and Q&A Session at 6 p.m. On January 21, 2026. The event will be held online via GoToWebinar and is open to the public.
The approximately 45-minute webinar, followed by a 30-minute question-and-answer session, will focus on weather phobias, healthy coping mechanisms, and the tools and resources the National Weather Service provides to help individuals and families prepare for hazardous weather. Registration is free but required to attend.
Those interested can register online. Organizers say the goal of the webinar is simple: Don’t be scared—be prepared.
