North County Leaders Emphasize Importance of Emergency Preparedness

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - Following last week’s precautionary shutdown at North County Primary after a nearby threat, district leaders are highlighting the importance of regular emergency drills in schools.

Superintendent Dr. Brandon Gregory says the district continues to work diligently to ensure students and staff understand what to do in a variety of emergency situations.

Dr. Gregory also commends the School Resource Officers and local law enforcement partners for their role in coordinating and assisting with those drills, noting their support helps ensure procedures are followed correctly and safely.

The district says regular preparedness training will remain a priority moving forward.
