One Killed, Two Children Injured in St. Francois County Crash Thursday Night

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 20-year-old Farmington man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening, April 30, 2026, on Route OO at Williams Drive in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 7:51 p.m. when a 35-year-old Farmington man driving a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox attempted to turn left onto Williams Drive. Troopers say the driver turned into the path of a northbound 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle.

The motorcycle struck the front right side of the SUV, ejecting the rider. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the St. Francois County Morgue.

Two children inside the SUV, a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken by private vehicle to Parkland Health Center in Farmington for treatment.

On Friday, May 1, 2026, authorities arrested the driver of the SUV, identified as 35-year-old Raymond A. O’Connor of Farmington. According to an arrest report, O’Connor is charged with felony driving while intoxicated resulting in the death of another.

He was taken into custody at approximately 5:45 p.m. in St. Francois County and is currently being held without bond at the St. Francois County Jail.

The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
