Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 61-year-old man from Park Hills was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Jefferson County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:09 p.m. on April 9 at the intersection of Route V and Mount Olive Road.
Troopers report that a 2008 Honda VTX1300 motorcycle, driven by the Park Hills man, was traveling northbound when a southbound 2023 Ford Bronco Sport attempted to turn left onto Mount Olive Road.
According to the crash report, the motorcyclist attempted to brake, causing the motorcycle to skid before striking the right side of the SUV.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Bronco, a 54-year-old woman from Imperial, was wearing a seatbelt and was not reported injured.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene.
