Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Some Park Hills residents will soon receive a Service Line Notification letter as part of a federally required inventory process for water systems across the country.
City Administrator Zach Franklin says the letter is strictly informational and is not an indication of any problem with a customer’s water supply.
Franklin emphasizes the notice does not mean lead is present in anyone’s water.
No action is required from residents at this time. The letter explains how service line materials are categorized and includes general educational information about lead, galvanized lines, and optional steps homeowners can take if they want to learn more about their property’s service line.
Officials say the notice does not indicate unsafe water, nor does it confirm any issue at a specific residence.
