Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - Ricky Cotner of Perryville has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses following an incident reported on January 8, 2026.
According to the Potosi Police Department, officers were dispatched to a report of a physical altercation between a male and a female at the Potosi Gulf station. When officers arrived on the scene, the male subject fled on foot.
An officer ordered the subject to stop and pursued him on foot. The suspect fell in a wooded area across Highway 21, where he reportedly actively resisted and assaulted officers. After a brief struggle, the male subject was taken into custody.
A warrant was issued for Ricky Cotner, who has been charged with Third Degree Domestic Assault, Resisting or Interfering with Arrest for a Felony, and Violation of an Order of Protection for an Adult, Second Offense.
Cotner is currently being held at the Washington County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
