Potosi, Mo. (KFMO) - An inmate at the Potosi Correctional Center has died, according to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Officials say 65-year-old Willie Crenshaw died on January 14, 2026 at 1:14 p.m. Crenshaw was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for first-degree murder in St. Louis County, as well as a conviction for violence against a Department of Corrections employee or another inmate in Callaway County. Crenshaw had been in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections since September 22, 2000.
The cause of death has not yet been released. Authorities say an autopsy will be conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
