Ironton, Mo. (KFMO) - Preschool students in the Arcadia Valley School District are back in the classroom after missing just one day of school due to a fire that destroyed their building and classroom resources over the weekend.
District administrators, maintenance crews, and staff worked quickly to restore the program and ensure learning could continue. For the remainder of the school year, preschool classes will be held in the elementary school library. Library classes will be conducted in individual classrooms, by utilizing a mobile cart with books and materials for students to use.
School officials also expressed gratitude to the many individuals, businesses, churches, neighboring schools, and community members who offered support following the fire.
