Route Y Lane Reductions Begin Wednesday in St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve Counties

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Motorists traveling along Route Y in St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve counties should prepare for lane reductions beginning Wednesday as the Missouri Department of Transportation starts pavement repair work along the roadway.

The affected section of Route Y runs from Route D in St. Francois County to Interstate 55 in Ste. Genevieve County. According to MoDOT, crews will reduce traffic while repairs are underway.

The work is scheduled to take place daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Wednesday, May 27 and continuing through Thursday, June 4, weather permitting.

Drivers traveling through the area should expect possible delays and are encouraged to slow down and use caution near workers and equipment.

MoDOT reminds motorists to obey all posted signs and allow additional travel time during the repair project.
