Sidewalk Improvements Coming to Route 61 in Ste. Genevieve

Ste. Genevieve, Mo. (KFMO) - Contractor crews have began improving sidewalks along Route 61 in Ste. Genevieve as part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s (MoDOT) initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

The project covers the section of Route 61 from Route 32 to Donze Street. During construction, a 10-foot width restriction will be in place. Work is scheduled to continue, weather permitting, through Friday, January 16, 2026.

MoDOT officials say the work zone will be clearly marked with signs, and they urge motorists to exercise extreme caution when traveling through the area.
