Small Plane Crash Near Bismarck Under Investigation; No Injuries Reported

Bismarck, Mo. (KFMO) - A single-engine aircraft crash was reported near Bismarck Tuesday morning, prompting a response from local authorities and federal aviation officials.

According to officials, the crash was reported at approximately 10:21 a.m. near Lake Avalon Road. As a result, Lake Avalon Road has been closed until further notice to provide access for investigators and emergency personnel.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and is en route to the crash site to begin an investigation into the incident.

Authorities say there have been no injuries reported at this time.

St. Francois County deputies remain on scene and will assist FAA investigators throughout the investigation. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
