Snow and Ice in Forecast Through Thursday

(Park Hills, Mo) - Once again this week, snow and freezing rain are in the forecast, starting as early as Tuesday evening.

The National Weather Service says we should see some accumulating ice of around a tenth of an inch overnight tomorrow night, and then snow is expected over much of the work week. Initially, the forecast is calling for up to 3 inches of snow during the day on Wednesday, and additional half inch to an inch of snow and tenth an inch of ice on Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

The spread of predicted accumulations vary from county to county.  Washington County is on the upper end of the predictions, and southern St. Francois county near Farmington is about an inch or so less than that for a prediction.

Temperatures should remain at or below freezing after tomorrow for the remainder of the week.
