Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Ste. Genevieve man was moderately injured Monday evening after his pickup struck a guardrail and then a ditch along Missouri Route 32.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 6:40 p.m. eastbound on MO-32, just west of Kocher Road. Troopers say a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 51-year-old man from Ste. Genevieve traveled off the right side of the roadway after the driver failed to keep a proper lookout. The front right of the truck struck a metal guardrail face before returning to the roadway, crossing the center line, and running off the opposite side, where it hit a ditch.
The driver, who was not wearing a safety device, suffered moderate injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
