Sullivan Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges After Meth Lab Discovery

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A disturbance call in Sullivan led to a major criminal investigation this summer after Washington County deputies uncovered both a methamphetamine lab and child pornography evidence.

Deputies initially took a male suspect into custody during the July incident. While processing the scene, investigators seized flash drives believed to be linked to the case. A subsequent search warrant revealed thousands of images and videos of child pornography.  Some of the files were used to quickly apply for charges, but the suspect, identified as Travis Seamon of Sullivan, had already been released. Deputies launched an extensive search and later enlisted assistance from Governor Mike Kehoe’s new Operation Relentless Pursuit team. Within 12 hours of being notified, the team tracked Seamon to Franklin County, where he was arrested. Seamon has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography.

He is being held without bond, and investigators say additional charges are expected as they continue reviewing thousands of files.
