Survey Confirms EF1 Tornado in Annapolis

(Annapolis, MO) A survey team from the National Weather Service in St. Louis has finished their survey of the damage in Annapolis.

The findings indicate that a tornado, which was an EF1 status, touched down on the western edge of Annapolis and tracked east-northeast, from 8:49 p.m. to 8:51 p.m. on Wednesday. It had a path of 2.27 miles long and 250 yards across, with a max wind of 110 m.p.h.

Damage included a roof blown off of a mobile home, extensive damage to South Iron Elementary School, and several trees knocked down.

There were no injuries reported.
