Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A teenage driver from Ste. Genevieve was airlifted to a St. Louis-area hospital after a rollover crash Wednesday evening in Ste. Genevieve County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 6 p.m. on April 8 on Route Z east of Interstate 55.
Troopers say a westbound 2011 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 16-year-old girl traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck multiple signs, and overturned.
The driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Air Evac Helicopter 80 to Mercy Hospital South.
Authorities say she was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. The vehicle was totaled and was removed from the scene.
