Two Injured in Crash on Flat River Road North of Hunt Road

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Two people from Leadwood were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Flat River Road just north of Hunt Road in St. Francois County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 2:10 p.m. when a southbound 2006 Dodge Dakota, driven by a 24-year-old woman from Fredericktown, failed to yield and turned left into the path of a northbound 2015 Honda CB 500 motorcycle. The 19-year-old motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. An 18-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.

The motorcycle was extensively damaged and towed from the scene. The driver of the Dakota was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
