St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 67 at Shannon Road in St. Francois County Sunday afternoon left two people seriously injured and two others with moderate injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. when a southbound 2014 Nissan Murano, driven by a 64-year-old woman of Farmington, crossed through the center crossover and entered the northbound lanes, striking a northbound 2015 Toyota Highlander head-on. The woman suffered serious injuries and was flown by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. The driver of the Toyota, a 25-year-old man of High Ridge, also sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
Two passengers in the Toyota, a 48-year-old man and a 2-year-old girl, both from High Ridge, suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre by private vehicle. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
