Two Structures Destroyed in Early Morning Fire in Belleview; Investigation Underway

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Firefighters with the Pilot Knob Fire Protection District responded to a residential structure fire early Wednesday morning in Belleview.

According to officials, crews were dispatched at 2:18 a.m. to the 2000 block of Highway A. Upon arrival, firefighters found two structures heavily involved in flames, along with a brush fire spreading in the area. Firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control and successfully extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. After the fire was extinguished, the scene was turned over to the Iron County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri Division of Fire Safety Fire Investigations Unit. Authorities say the fire is considered suspicious in nature.
