Two Wichita Motorcyclists Airlifted After Crash on Missouri 49 in Iron County

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Two Wichita, Kansas residents were airlifted to a St. Louis hospital Sunday afternoon after a motorcycle crash north of Annapolis.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:40 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2026, on Missouri Highway 49 about six miles north of Annapolis in Iron County.

Troopers say a southbound 2004 Harley-Davidson Road King traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The driver, a 53-year-old Wichita man, and his passenger, a 45-year-old Wichita woman, were both ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.

The patrol reported both occupants suffered moderate injuries. Air Medical helicopters transported both victims to Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.

The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was removed from the scene by Forshee Towing.

Investigators noted neither the driver nor passenger was using a safety device at the time of the crash.
