St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The United Way of St. Francois County is celebrating three decades of serving local residents with a special recognition in the Congressional Record from Congressman Jason Smith.
The recognition honors the organization’s 30th anniversary and the impact it has had throughout St. Francois County.
United Way says the honor is not just for the organization, but for the many people who have helped support its mission over the years.
That includes every volunteer who has rung a bell during the holiday season, every donor who has given generously, every partner agency working to serve local residents, every board member who has provided leadership, and every community member who has chosen to make a difference.
Because of that community support, the United Way of St. Francois County has been able to invest in local programs that help provide food, shelter, education, health services, and hope to people who need assistance.
The organization says its 30-year milestone is a reflection of what can happen when a community comes together to support its neighbors.
