Vehicle Fire at Bloomsdale Love’s Travel Center Draws Multi-Agency Response

Bloomsdale, Mo. (KFMO) - A commercial vehicle fire at Love’s Travel Center in Bloomsdale prompted a large response from multiple fire departments early Saturday morning.

According to the Ste. Genevieve County Fire Protection District, firefighters from Station 2 were dispatched just before 12:30 a.m. for a reported vehicle fire at the travel center.

While responding, crews received updated information indicating the commercial vehicle was heavily involved in flames. Firefighters reported the fire was visible from a significant distance as they approached the scene.

Due to the advanced fire conditions, additional resources were requested from Stations 1 and 5 of the Ste. Genevieve County Fire Protection District, as well as the Jefferson R-7 Fire Protection District.

Firefighters worked for several hours to bring the blaze under control and extinguish remaining hotspots. The coordinated response helped prevent further hazards as crews remained on scene throughout the overnight hours.

Officials reported no injuries as a result of the fire. The cause of the blaze has not been released.
