Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A registered sex offender is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office that concluded with a brief foot pursuit and arrest.
According to the sheriff's office, a deputy initiated an investigation in June 2026 after learning that registered sex offender Stacy DeClue was residing at an address that had not been reported as required under Missouri law.
Investigators say evidence gathered during the investigation showed DeClue had been living at the unregistered residence for several weeks.
When the deputy informed DeClue that he was under arrest, authorities say he ran from the scene on foot. Deputies quickly apprehended him after a short pursuit.
DeClue was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Washington County Jail.
Formal charges have been submitted for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Felony Resisting Arrest.
Court records indicate DeClue's bond has been set at $50,000 cash only.
