Baldwin Homicide Ruled Self Defense

(Farmington, MO) St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney, Blake Dudley, is announcing the shooting death of 43 year old Jackie Baldwin was in self defense. Baldwin's wife, Katie Baldwin, was determined to have shot her husband in the early morning hours of August 10th. St. Francois County Sheriff's Department Deputies determined Katie Baldwin had shot Jackie Baldwin as the result of a domestic dispute. The incident took place in the 2500 block of H Highway, near Farmington. The incident began several hours earlier the prior evening and continued throughout the night. Katie Baldwin told authorities she shot her husband after he retrieved a gun, in an alcohol fueled rage, stating he intended to kill her. A press release from Dudley's office shows after thorough consideration of all known evidence, received from all known sources, it's been concluded the act of Katie Baldwin, of causing the death of Jackie Baldwin by shooting him, was an act of justified self defense.
