Gas Prices on the Rise

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Gas prices are moving higher again, including here in the Parkland. According to AAA, the national average for regular gasoline Thursday is about $4.10 a gallon, up from $4.08 a day earlier. 

The national average is also up from about $4.00 a month ago.

In Missouri, the statewide average is about $3.89 a gallon, up from $3.84 Wednesday and $3.79 a week ago. However, many gas stations are reporting $3.99 per gallon, as drivers in St. Francois County saw prices increase Wednesday. 

AAA says the national average has been climbing again. The increase comes as motorists face higher fuel costs heading into the final weeks of summer travel, and continued tension with the conflict in Iran.
