Data Center Town Hall Scheduled for Thursday in Park Hills

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - A local organization opposed to data center development is holding a town hall Thursday evening in Park Hills to provide information about data centers and discuss efforts to organize against potential construction in the area.

No Data Center SFC, Missouri is hosting the event at 6 p.m. at The Ashlar Complex, located at 316 West Main Street in Park Hills, across the street from 4 Towns.

According to organizers, the town hall is intended to raise awareness about data centers and provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the potential impacts and issues surrounding their development.

The organization also says it plans to begin organizing with the Missouri Rural Crisis Center, which it describes as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, as part of its efforts to prevent data centers from being constructed in the area.

Organizers are encouraging members of the public to attend the town hall to learn more about data centers and hear about the group's efforts.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at The Ashlar Complex, 316 West Main Street in Park Hills.
