Big River Chautauqua Begins Tonight

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The 2026 Big River Chautauqua begins Thursday evening in Bonne Terre. This year's theme, The Spirit of 1776, includes portrayals of Abigail Adams Thursday, Thomas Jefferson Friday, and Benjamin Franklin Saturday.

Leslie Goddard, who portrays Adams, offered a glimps into what attendees can expect Thursday night.

Dinner, Desserts, and Drinks will be offered at 4:30 p.m. in the Bonne Terre Nutrition Center. The Chautauqua Singers perform at 6 p.m., and Leslie Goddard takes the Bonne Terre City Hall stage as Abigail Adams at 7 p.m.
