Body-Worn Cameras Still A Target for Sheriff's Office

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The St. Francois County Sheriff's Office is applying for another grant to help fund the cost of body-worn cameras.

The grant, the Local Violent Crime Protection Grant, is worth $25,000 and is non-matching. Lt. Mike Ryan says the total cost for the cameras is broken up over several years.

The money would be used in addition to a previous $50,000 grant to be awarded from the Missouri Blue Shield Grant Program.
