BREAKING NEWS HI SPEED CHASE

(Desloge, MO.) Desloge Police, and other law enforcement officials, are wrapping up the scene after a hi speed chase that began in Desloge this afternoon just before 12:30. The male suspect driving the car was pushing speeds of 85 to 100 miles per hour and was driving around vehicles on the shoulder of Highway 67 in an attempt to get away from police. The suspect allegedly threw several items from the car while the chase was going on and officers are trying to gather the items. Reports also indicate the suspect was talking on a cell phone during much of the chase. It's also said the plates on the vehicle came back to a residence in Madison County. The chase continued into the northern portion of Madison County where the car ran off the highway and crashed. The suspect is in custody and it's not known yet what charges will be filed against him.
