(Iron Mountain Lake, MO) St. Francois County Sheriff's Department officials are searching for Michael D. Pender after attempting to take him into custody. He's described as armed and dangerous. Reports show Pender is wanted for an active felony warrant for sodomy and pending charges for arson and felony assault on a law enforcement official. Pender was last seen in the area of Highway N, Trap Rock Road, Cemetery Road, and Iron Mountain Road. A deputy attempted to take Pender into custody Wednesday morning and that's when a struggle began between the two. Pender ran from the scene. If you have any information on Pender's whereabouts you're asked to call St. Francois County 911 or your local law enforcement authorities.
